Who are we?

CAJUD is an initiative of Women in Law and Development in Africa-West Africa (WiLDAF-AO).

Launched in 2021, the Digitalized Legal Aid Center (CAJUD) is a web application that aims to improve women’s and girls’ access to training, advice and legal assistance services by offering them the possibility of entering the Legal aid centers or listening centers from their places of residence or any place.

The solution provides women and girls with an answer to the need for access to legal services without necessarily having to travel.

CAJUD also has the advantage of creating between complainants and legal aid centers a new digital channel of communication that allows complainants to be assisted quickly, does not require them to travel and federates data collected by other channels, in particular face-to-face. By integrating voice messages via WhatsApp, CAJUD is also accessible to complainants who can only speak the local language or who do not have digital skills.
